Creating system images with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Image Builder
After you have accessed Image Builder, you’ll use the Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Console to create your own custom system image. If you prefer to use the command line interface (CLI) instead, you can skip to the next resource.

What do you need before starting?
- Red Hat account
Create an image with the web console
- Open Red Hat Image Builder in the Hybrid Cloud Console and log in with your Red Hat credentials.
- Click the Create Image button to open the Image Builder dialogue wizard.
- Select your preferred RHEL release and designate your target cloud environment.
- Proceed through the wizard steps to register and name your image. You can register your image later if you do not currently have an activation key.
- (Optional) You can customize the image further by adding packages and configuring partitions for your file system.
After you have created your image, you can now prepare to upload it to your preferred public cloud platform.
