On this week's show, we shifted gears and move away from discussing Kubernetes, and focused on containers. With the pace of adoption and the pace of change happening in the container ecosystem, it might be difficult to know the status of the latest container standards. To help us better understand this, we invited Vincent Batts (@vbatts) to help us decode all the activities happening around containers.
Vincent has been contributing to container projects for many years, and has been extremely influential in the Open Container Initiative (OCI). He does a great job in giving us some historical perspective, as well as explaining the goals of the recent OCI 1.0 release and the interaction between OCI and Kubernetes. We go in-depth about LXC, docker, OCI, CRI-O, and the evolution of Windows containers.
The show will always be available on this blog (search: #PodCTL), as well as RSS Feeds, iTunes, Google Play, SoundCloud, Stitcher, TuneIn and all your favorite podcast players.
