In this briefing, Red Hat's Paul Morie, one of the co-leads for the Kubernetes SIG Service Catalog gave a great update on the work being done around Kubernetes, Open Service Broker, and Service Catalog.
The service-catalog project is currently in incubation to bring integration with service brokers to the Kubernetes ecosystem via the Open Service Broker API. A service broker is an endpoint that manages a set of software offerings called services. The end-goal of the service-catalog project is to provide a way for Kubernetes users to consume services from brokers and easily configure their applications to use those services, without needing detailed knowledge about how those services are created or managed.
This session will give you a very good overview into the topic as well as an update on what's in the Release Candidate 0.1.0 of Service Catalog!
