In this briefing, CrunchyData's Jeff McCormick describes what an operator is, how they are built, and demonstrates the features of the open source Postgres Operator provided by CrunchyData.
The PostgreSQL operator is a controller built on top of the Kubernetes API and works to automate and implement advanced database orchestration features often required by DBA staff in managing large numbers of PostgreSQL databases.
