OpenShift Commons Briefing Summary

In this briefing, Harold Wong of Microsoft gives a quick introduction to Microsoft Azure's QuickStart Templates and then dives into using them to deploy and configure OpenShift on Azure.

While deploying OpenShift on Azure isn’t that radically different than deploying in another cloud provider or on-premises, there are infrastructure items that need to be configured that are unique to Azure.

Although you could do all the configuration work manually and then install OpenShift via Ansible Playbook, an alternate way is to take advantage of Azure ARM templates to help automate the deployment of all the “stuff”. In this briefing, Harold Wong walks us thru a live demonstration of how to use some existing ARM templates to deploy OpenShift Origin and OpenShift Container Platform in an automated fashion.
