In this briefing, Diogo Goebel (CEO, GetUp Cloud) and Diego Castro (CTO, GetUp Cloud) gave an in-depth talk about GetUpCloud’s journey to Azure, and all the lessons they've learned along the road as they have embraced and extended OpenShift along with it's upstream technologies Containers, Kubernetes and now have migrated their Public PaaS to Microsoft Azure.
Diogo Goebel highlighted some of their customer stories as well and showcased 2 very interesting customer deployments from Heineken and RBS OCTO.
Diego Castro then did a great job describing the architecture of their Azure deployment of OpenShift right down to the underly Ceph Block Storage that you will not want to miss.
Members from the Core Microsoft Azure team and Red Hat's Ceph Storage team joined in on the call and dove deeper still into the underlying architecture and networking issues, answering questions and shared many of their insights and best practices.
