Here's what's new in the July 18, 2012 release.

Ruby 1.9

It's been one of the most requested features and it's finally here! In case you are wondering, we will continue to offer Ruby 1.8 as an option for those you requiring it.

New Spring and Rails Templates

With the Ruby upgrade we've also upgraded our Rails application template to 3.2. In this release we've also added an easy to use Spring template for Java developers. To get started with application templates, just log into the management console and click on "Create Application."

Hot Deploy for PHP and Perl

In last release we introduced hot deployments for JBoss AS 7, and in this one we are adding PHP and Perl to the list.

Friendly Release Reminders

Remember that with every release you should upgrade your client tools to get the latest bug fixes and funcationality enabled. In case you forgot, it's simple:

sudo gem update rhc

As always with new releases we want to know what you think. Send an email to openshift@redhat.com or stop by #openshift on irc.freenode.net.
