Hi, I'm Michael and excited to join the OpenShift team as a Developer Advocate. I've been active in the container (orchestration) space for the past couple of years, with a background in data engineering and I love to code, especially in Go.

Yeah, that's me with swag from the Kubernetes 1.0 launch at OSCON in 2015.

In my new role at Red Hat, there are a couple of things I'd like to focus on:

  • Enable developers concerning operations skills
  • Build out data services related topics around OpenShift, both on the compute as well as on the storage level (Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, etc.)
  • Work with our awesome Engineering folks to explain how to get the most out of Kubernetes
  • Provide tooling and reference material around containers (e.g., cinf and containerz.info)

If you want to get in touch, hit me up on Twitter and if you'd like to learn a bit more about what else I'm doing, such as writing books, user groups or the like, check out mhausenblas.info.

Hope to meet many of you end of March in Berlin!
