Building a platform for developers is only as effective as the uptake from said developers. If programmers won't use the shiny new thing you built for them, why did you build that thing in the first place? That's why focusing on developer uptake and enablement is core to success in any platform engineering endeavor.

Jim Wittermans of ABN AMRO Clearing Bank spoke at the OpenShift Commons Gathering at Red Hat Summit in Boston about how to enable the global landscape on a global platform. His presentation detailed the processes and platforms used by his team to build development services and enablement teams to guide technical implementations.

The OpenShift Commons Gatherings take place all over the world to coincide with events that bring in Kubernetes and cloud-native developers, administrators and architects, allowing users of the OpenShift Platform to communicate their successes to each other and to share their tips and tricks for meeting business challenges along the way.
